The ElectricCareer.com web site is a project of the professional electrical contracting companies that are members of the National Electrical Contractors Association (NECA) and other firms that sign on to NECA-negotiated employment contracts. Together these number 15 thousand contractors who employ over 300,000 electrical construction tradespersons.

NECA, founded in 1901, is the leading representative of the electrical contracting industry with 120 U.S. chapters, as well as chapters and individual members in countries around the world.

Most NECA members qualify as small businesses. However, included among NECA's firms are the largest electrical contracting companies in the United States. Their expertise ranges from energy efficiency, power quality and availability solutions to outside line work to integrated building systems for the institutional, industrial, residential and commercial markets.

NECA contractors are professionals who

  • develop practical solutions to meet existing and emerging customer needs;
  • lead the industry in the application of new technologies;
  • and set industry standards for electrical and integrated building system installations.

Why did we put this site on the Web?

It's pretty simple: We're looking for quality people who have good experience in the electrical construction industry. We'd like you to consider coming to work for us.

Our participating contractors throughout the country have opportunities. We thought we'd create a place on the Web where we outlined what we were looking for, and give you if you have the experience and skills we're seeking a chance to "raise your hand" and let us know you're out there.

See our How To Apply page to "raise your hand." Once you've let us know of your availability, it's our job to match your skills and experience with the needs of one of our contractors."
